Jean Manz, MA, LMFT


Jean Manz is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in private practice in Farmington, NM. She earned a Master’s Degree in Counseling from San Diego State in 1993 and went on to complete 2 years of post-graduate training in Marriage and Family Therapy at Denver Family Institute. Jean has spent the past 29 years working in hospital, community mental health and private practice settings, logging over 19,000 hours of clinical care to patients. She owns a full-time psychotherapy practice specializing in couple’s therapy.


Jean has been a frequent presenter and mentor to business leaders, educators and health care professionals, bringing tools for wellbeing outside the therapy room. In Spring 2021, after learning about the significant percentage of patients with dental treatment anxiety, she began an initiative to teach these patients how to manage their anxiety to have a more comfortable dental treatment experience.


Jean has been married to her husband Julius, a Dentist, for 31 years and has 2 young adult sons. She loves animals, being outside, and after her early upbringing in Vermont, loves living in the beautiful state of New Mexico.
